Guarantee of expertise

Our years of experience as measurement experts are the best guarantee. The Kromschroeder Gas Meter Calibration Laboratory has been providing gas meter calibration services since its foundation in 1932.

The Kromschroeder Gas Meter Calibration Laboratory is accredited as an ENAC Calibration Laboratory according to the criteria of UNE-EN ISO/IEC 17025.

This accreditation recognizes the technical competence and the validity of the results of the flow calibration tests, responding to the requirements of the bodies or entities and is a guarantee for our customers. Volume gas meters:

  • Membrane meter (G1,6 ÷ G160): Flow rate m3/h 0,010 m3/h ≤ Q ≤ 250 m3/h
  • Rotary displacement and turbine gas meters: Flow rate m3/h 0,16 m3/h ≤ Q ≤ 2500 m3/h
  • Turbine flow rate: Flow rate m3/h 0,16 m3/h ≤ Q ≤ 2500 m3/h

Our laboratory has the strictest internal and external quality controls, which guarantees the absolute reliability of the results. The primary standards of our calibration bench are drawn up with the Physicalisch-Techniche Bundesanstalt (PTB), which is the national metrology institute of the Federal Republic of Germany.

An agile and exhaustive service

When the measuring equipment arrives at our company, the device is immediately identified and undergoes an exhaustive process that includes a review of the documentation, inspection and preliminary function test. If the equipment is in operating condition, it enters the laboratory where it remains for a minimum of 24 hours for tempering.

Depending on the type of equipment and its measuring capacity, the test bench is adjusted to the appropriate conditions and the calibration process is started. If the results are correct, the instrument is marked, and the corresponding certificate is released. The equipment is then returned to the customer.

If in the preliminary inspection and test phase or if the calibration result is not successful, a report is sent to the customer and if the customer so wishes, a proposal for repair and/or adjustment, if possible, is drawn up. After a possible repair/adjustment of the instrument, the instrument is subjected to the corresponding calibration test.

Our technical and customer service staff has extensive experience and training in gas measuring equipment, which, together with state-of-the-art equipment, guarantees a timely and conscientious service.
